Recclesia Small Works, by Recclesia Ltd

Recclesia offer comprehensive Small Works & Maintenance services. Given our experience of a huge variety of works to historic buildings, we know that preventive maintenance is the best money you will ever spend on any building. A good maintenance programme can save you thousands in the long run, and ensure that your important building is looked after properly.

Whether it's clearing and maintaining rainwater goods, looking after access routes and accessibility, or a collection of running repairs, our small works team are the answer.

Recclesia can also carry out invasive and non-invasive investigative works and fabric analysis prior to schedules of work being drawn up by your architect or surveyor to make sure that there are no unknown entities in any future programme of works or grant application paperwork.

Services

Small Works
Small Works are those every day requirements that don't warrant a full architect's schedule of works, are maintenance works or minor projects.

Our team will attend to any smaller project with the same skill and experise as if they were carrying out a much larger project. For our clients it is the best of both worlds as the work is carried out by skilled craftsmen who are experienced in carrying out work to historic buildings.

Maintenance
Recclesia carry out maintenance work to churches & historic buildings such as:

+ clearance and testing of rainwater goods and rainwater handling
+ maintaining clear routes of access and meeting DDA access requirements
+ painting and decorating or specialist cleaning work such as TORC [JOS] / DOFF
+ any other specialist works

Investigation Work
Historic Buildings are notorious for throwing up all sorts of problems that were not foreseen due to a lack of original plans, detailed analysis or exploration work into the building fabric. Recclesia are often asked to "open-up" small parts of buildings in order to establish how they are built or examine how the structure works in advance of larger restoration projects taking place.

This allows for an informed approach to be taken to the repairs that are specified without impacting more than is necessary on the historic fabric of the building. This is a useful service for architects and surveyors and has proved to be very popular to date.

Our team is very versatile, so don't be afraid to ask us about your requirements.

If you have a small project that you think may be of interest to Recclesia, please get in touch. We love what we do and are happy to offer advice at any stage of your project. We look forward to working with you.

Recclesia Small Works News
Fulwood Park Liverpool
The Feature Posts are lifted back into position.

Recclesia has completed works to the entrance at Fulwood Park in Liverpool. Following an accidental meeting with a juggernaught, the 15 feet high columns at the entrance were left teetering on their bases and damage to the stonework and decorative ironwork. Recclesia teamed up with Bob Francis Cranes in order to lift the 4-tonne columns back into position and effect repair work to them. Metalworkers from Recclesia Stained Glass effected repairs to the decorative ironwork and reinstated it on site whilst masons carried out indent repairs in Hollington Stone to the columns. Both the client and the insurance company were very pleased with the work.
