Company Prequalification Information
Recclesia continually passes through prequalification exercises for both public and private sector contracts. Should you wish us to complete your PQQ for a project in which you believe we may be interested in, please contact us. Below is a summary of the sort of prequalification information that we are regularly asked for.
Health & Safety
The wellbeing of our staff, the public, site visitors and of course our clients is of paramount importance to us all and has been made an integral part of the way we run our sites. By developing a culture of continuous improvement and careful risk control we believe our safety standards to be extremely high. We have a very low accident rate compared to national averages and follow a carefully constructed management system which follows international standards. We gain further support by turning to our CDM & Safety Consultants at CPS, a practice which specialises in managing safety on building conservation and restoration projects.
Registration & Memberships
Recclesia is a CHAS Accredited Contractor (SSIP) and has been awarded the CSCS Platinum Certificate for our ongoing commitment to the scheme with all of our staff carrying heritage sector or management cards. The company is registered with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), the cornerstone organisation in the development of construction skills in the UK. We have actively helped the CITB develop new training schemes and plans for specialist training.
Recclesia is a member of the Stone Federation of Great Britain, and is registered with Constructionline, the DTI prequalification scheme. We also work closely with advisors from the Welsh Assembly Government and have registered with the Workforce Development Programme which helps arrange workplace skills training for our staff and managament team.
We are members of the Listed Property Owners Club (LPOC) and the Historic Cheshire Chapels Preservation Trust. We are Corporate Members of The Georgian Group and the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings. Our staff are individually allied to a number of professional bodies including the Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC), the Insitute of Conservation (ICoN) and the British Society of Master Glass Painters (BSMGP). We are also regular contributors to the sector press including Church Building & Heritage Magazine, Ecclesiastical & Heritage Magazine and Church Maintenance Magazine.
Environment & Ecology
Working on the types of buildings that we do, we are well versed in the environmental and ecological requirements and legislation that apply to our work. We like to pay more than just lip-service to the environment and ecology. Our staff have had training on environmental management and waste control. Add to this the fact that our Managing Director is an experienced ecological survey assistant, we like to think we have a big head start on this front. We work closely with our Environmental & Ecological Consultants at JW Ecological to ensure that we are following the latest guidelines and continually improving our awareness of our environmental impact, waste control and management of all our activities.
Quality
Given that we are trusted to work on some of the country's most historically significant buildings, it is with some confidence that we can say that our quality standards are very high. We strive to work to the highest standards as our reputation relies on our ability to deliver a standard of workmanship that is both exemplary and consistent. Our projects have been used as case studies in good workmanship and we guard this standard in everything that we do. |
